Forklift (LF) Training Course for In-Experienced Operators  (PTC Bentley and TST Midland)

Topics covered on course :

• Conducting routine safety checks and operational safety requirements
• Planning & preparing the work
• Check controls and equipment
• Engineering principles and stability
• Attachments, accessories and associated equipment
• Principles of maintenance and maintaining of equipment records
• Shifting, stacking & de-stacking the load
• Shut down the equipment
• Securing the work site

Suitability :
For persons over the age of 18 with little or no prior experience of forklift driving. Students must also be free of any physical or medical condition that may affect the safe operation of a forklift truck and speak the english language to a level that would ensure safe operation in an Australian workplace.

Prerequisites :

• Prerequisite unit of competency: None
• Prerequisite High Risk Work Licence: None

Outcome :

• Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency RIIHAN201A Operate a forklift
• High Risk Work Licence class LF: Fork-Lift Truck Operation, issued by WorkSafe (WA)
