Elevating Work Platform (WP) Training Course  

Unit of Competency :
TLILIC2005A Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform (boom length 11 metres or more)
This is the most current nationally recognised unit of competency. The content of this unit has been updated to comply with the new WorkSafe standards. You will gain skills, knowledge and practical experience that will enable you to be job ready.
This unit may be delivered and assessed under the partnership agreement between Perth Training Centre and Trade Skills Training.

Topics covered on course :

• Compliance with OH&S licensing legislation.
• Emergency procedures and safety equipment, including the use of safety harnesses, energy absorbers, lanyard and anchor points.
• Assessment of ground conditions to confirm that the site is suitable (e.g. firm, level and safe) to extend and travel the elevating work platform.
• Risk assessment and hazard control strategies, including hierarchy of control as applied to the positioning and safe operation of the elevating work platform (particular awareness of the risks associated with overhead powerlines/electrical cables, ground conditions, wind, pedestrians and tipping).
• Appropriate procedures for estimation of loads, to ensure that the elevating work platform is not overloaded.
• Positioning and operation of the elevating work platform to ensure that the safest lift is performed.

Suitability :
For persons over the age of 18. Students must also be free of any physical or medical condition that may affect the safe operation of an Elevating Work Platform and speak the English language to a level that would ensure safe operation in an Australian workplace.

Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency TLILIC2005A Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform (boom length 11 metres or more)

Licence :
High Risk Work Licence class WP: Boom Type Elevated Work platform operation (Boom length > 11 metres), issued by WorkSafe (WA)

Duration :
Two days, from 7.30AM to 4PM.

$429 Course Fee (GST Exempt) + $81 Worksafe WA Fee (GST Exempt) + $37 Photo Process Fee (Includes GST) = $547
