Advanced Scaffolding (SI)

Scaffolding

Trade Skills Training offers this course as a two day public course. Arrangements can be made to conduct the course on-site subject to the availability of suitable equipment and location. Special group arrangements, at on-site rates, can be made for companies to utilise the premises at Trade Skills Training in Midland.

The aim of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and understanding to effectively and safely perform advanced scaffolding work.

Pre-requisite - The pre-requisite for Advanced Scaffolding is the Intermediate Scaffolding (SI) qualification. All persons attempting Intermediate MUST have completed the Intermediate Scaffolding course prior to commencement.

Content of the course covers the following elements relating to advanced scaffolding:

  • Hung scaffolds (including scaffolding hanging from tubes, wire ropes or chains)
  • Suspended scaffolds

Those wishing to participate in this training course will need to be at least 18 years of age, be free of any physical or medical condition that may affect their ability to work as an advanced scaffolder.

To be successful participants must be able to use the English language to a level that would ensure safe operation in an Australian workplace.

Persons successfully completing the Course will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment in the National Competence Unit "UEPOPS303A - Perform advanced scaffolding" from the Electrical Distribution Training Package. Successful participants will also qualify to apply for the Worksafe WA National License Class SA to carry out Advanced Scaffolding in a workplace.

This course is presented at Trade Skills Training in Midland or on-site by arrangement.
