Trade Skills Training offers this course as a one day on-site course for companies needing to train their operators in the correct and safe use of their Bridge and Gantry Cranes.
The aim is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to use of cabin controlled overhead travelling cranes safely and efficiently.
Content of the couse the following elements relating to operating cabin controlled overhead travelling cranes:
Those wishing to participate in this training course will need to be at least 18 years of age, be free of any physical or medical condition that may affect the safe operation of a Crane.
To be successful participants must be able to use the English language to a level that would ensure safe operation in an Australian workplace.
Persons successfully completing the Course will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment in the National Competence Unit "MCG1040A - Operate gantry crane" from the Mining Industry Training Package, MNC05. They will also qualify to apply for the Worksafe WA National License Class CB to operate Bridge and Gantry cranes in a workplace.
