Front End Loader

Trade Skills Training offers this course as a two day on-site course for companies needing to train their operators in the correct and safe use of a Front End Loader.

The aim of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and understanding to effectively and safely operate a front end loader and where applicable, various attachments.

For a standard front end loader the course is conducted over two days. Where more complex training is required in the use of other attachments and/or the use of the machine as a crane or Integrated Tool Carrier, 3 days can be required.

Content of the course covers the following elements relating to Front End Loader operation:

  • Occupational safety & health
  • Specific machinery safety / attachments
  • Routine checks
  • Plan work
  • Post start function checks
  • Operate the machine
  • Shut down procedure
  • Secure site

Those wishing to participate in this training course will need to be at least 18 years of age, be free of any physical or medical condition that may affect the safe use of a Front End Loader and its attachments.

To be successful participants must be able to use the English language to a level that would ensure safe operation in an Australian workplace.

Persons successfully completing the Course will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment in the National Competence Unit "MNMOLH305A - Conduct front end loader operations" from the Mining Industry Training Package MNM05.

The course is only available as on site training.
